TIDESWITCH is a low cost but reliable answer to the problem of switching equipment On and Off according to Tide High Water Times. TIDESWITCH will reliably calculate the times of High Water for any nominated port in the world and switch on or off any device according to user set intervals with respect to High Water. Typical uses for TIDESWITCH include controlling discharge pumps for outfalls and power saving for Navigation aids at tidal ports. TIDESWITCH is particularly suited for remote and unattended sites and an internal rechargable battery makes the system resistant to mains power outages.

The TIDESWITCH software program also includes:

• A Log of past switching events for quality control.
• On screen display of High and Low water Tide times and Spring/Neap tide indicator for current date.
• On screen display of current Date,Time and switching status.
• On and Off interval settings.
• A Testing facility to test the system

The program is very simple to use and requires the minimum of training. A full manual is supplied with each program.

TIDESWITCH consists of the TIDESWITCH software program, a rugged computer in a fixed holder with rechargable battery, mains power transformer and serial communications. Up to 250 ON/OFF relays for controlling electrical devices may be connected. The computer incorporates an accurate clock and calendar and the screen is fitted with a backlight for night time viewing.

As well as switching pumps etc on and off controllers can be supplied with built in "intelligence" to monitor the device they control and for instance switch the pump off if a fault should develop.
