The Mobile Stock control and auditing system utilises rugged handheld computers for easy and reliable input and control of stock, with printed reports,  on your clients' sites etc

The mobile stock control and audit system comprises a handheld computer, docking cradle and high quality portable inkjet printer, all contained in a foam padded briefcase. The system can be used immediately on arrival and the handheld computer is used to gather data from around the site or warehouse. Once the data has been gathered then the handheld computer is returned to the cradle. A printed report can be generated immediately. The gathered data is retained safely in the handheld computer and can be uploaded into a PC on return to your base or transmitted immediately using a optional modem.

Clear records of entered and/or audited Stock items are printed immediately, for your Client and yourself to sign and keep

Handheld Computer Software Specification

The functions available in the Handheld Computer software include:

User Logon (with password if required).

Stock In (receipt of ordered items) using Barcodes,RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) or Keyboard with fast database look-up of Item Details and stock locations.

Stock Out (issue of items) using Barcodes, RFID or Keyboard with fast look-up of item details and stock locations.

Stock Check using Barcodes, RFID or Keyboard with fast look-up of item details and stock locations.

Optimised Routeing for stock picking, issuing or checking. An optimised route can be downloaded to the computer so that the operator is automatically prompted to follow the most efficient path from location to location.

All completed Stock In, Stock Out and Stock Check operations are immediately logged to a data file on the handheld computer.

Uploading of the logged data file and downloading of new stock item and location data to the handheld computer is carried out automatically once the computer is placed back in the docking station. Uploading and Downloading can also be carried out using a Modem or FTP link.

The computer’s battery is automatically recharged at the same time.

PC Stock Control Software

The Dolphin Stock Control system will interface to most standard PC Stock Control Systems. Custom control software for uploading and downloading data to the handheld computers is included as part of the package. If you do not have a PC Stock Control System then we can supply a custom written system .

Handheld Computer Types Supported

The system supports  Psion-Tekologix Workabout, Psion-Teklogix Netpad and Pocket PC handheld computers (Compaq IPAQ, HP Jornado etc)  as standard as we have found these units to be both reliable and reasonably priced. We can supply the computers in various configurations, including  as a keyboard only unit, Laser barcode Scanner, Wand Scanner, RFID/barcode Scanner, Wifi (802.11 wireless LAN). We can also supply other handheld computer types to order as our software can easily be moved to other platforms.
